Pakistan’s legendary left-handed cricketer Fakhar Zaman’s prediction about the four semi-finalists of the Champions Trophy 2025.  He surprised cricket fans with his prediction and even worried some. He said that both Australia and England play very good cricket but they will remain out of the semi-final race. ICC Champions Trophy2025 will start from 19 February  to 9March.

Defending Champions

Defending champions Pakistan are hosting the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Due to political differences between India and Pakistan, the BCCI and the Indian Cricket Board refused to send their team to Pakistan. Due to which all the matches of the Indian team will be played in the UAE. The series will begin on February 19 and its final will be played on March 9. This Champions Trophy is being held after eight years. Before that, the Champions Trophy was played in 2017, in the final of which Pakistan inflicted an unprecedented defeat on India.

Hybrid Model

Considering the nature of the differences between Pakistan and India and their narrative, the International Cricket Council decided that from 2025 to 2027, various cricket tournaments to be played in these two countries will be on a hybrid model.

Since this series was to be hosted by Pakistan, but due to India’s refusal, it was given the shape of a hybrid model. However, the ICC has compensated Pakistan by also giving Pakistan the hosting of the ICC T20 Women World Cup 2028. The teams will participate in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Which has been divided into two groups, Group A and Group B. Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Australia, England, South Africa and Afghanistan.
